Cubs and Joeys Badge Work Activities

As part of the badge work activities undertaken by the Akela towards badges that the Cubs could qualify for they undertook some activites that should in part qualify them for:
The "Their Service Our Heritage Badge" by participating in a presentation on Remembrance Day and asking and answering questions

The Cubs and Joeys also undertook some sporting and teamwork activities that will work them towards part of their Bronze, Silver or Gold Boomerang (depending on what level they are up to) or indeed the Grey Wolf if they are able to obtain it. Activities included throwing a goal through a basketball ring, jumping rope for two minutes, games under and with the parachute and relay races with balls and by having to run sideways.

Indoor And Outdoor Cooking

There have been some fun cooking activities throughout the year both indoors and out doors at our campfire ring. :

Sometimes it is hot potatoes in the jackets, other times it is damper of a stick:

Investments

The Joeys have had one Investment this year so far:

A number of the Joeys from last year have "linked up" to the Cubs this year and have been invested into the Cubs:

Joey's Bike Hike November 2011

On a lovely Spring evening the Joeys got to do a bike ride along the Murray River walking track on the Gateway Island causeway between Albury and Wodonga. They also welcomed their newest member on the ride as well.
Be Veeewwy Quiet......We're watching Wabbits! (there is a little one to the left of the Patterson's Curse).
