Scouts Obtain Highest Award

In November 2012 two of our senior scouts who have both just moved up to Venturers were awarded their Australian Scout Medallions (The highest award available to a Scout). This was the first time in approximately 15 years that a scout had achieved this award within 1st Wodonga Scouting Group, and we had two complete it and be awarded at the same time.  Here is a news paper article on the pair.

Needless to say as a group we are very proud of both of them, with their hard work paying off.

Cubs Melbourne Cup Regatta

 On Thursday the 1st of November the Cubs had a Melbourne cup night.

 They took the time to get dressed up for the occasion:

Group Leader In The News

In the months of  September and October, our Group Leader made the local news twice.
 Firstly for being the recipient of an Eagle Award from Wodonga Council in recognition of all the hours and effort that he puts in every week.

Secondly a profile piece on him by the local free paper.

Both are well deserved recognition of his efforts and time spent looking after all the children and making sure their training runs smoothly from week to week.
