Kub Cars District Event June 2011
Some the Cubs created some interesting designs for the Kub cars district event conducted on Sunday 26th June at the Yackandandah Hall. It was a great day enjoyed by all with a BBQ lunch and other fun activities on the sports oval prior to the days racing. Each Cub competing was given a block of wood, four nails and four wheels in a Kub car kit. The final design was up to each cub to do. Unfortunately on the day none of our Kub cars had the winning formula, but as the saying goes ...now we know the rules...there is always next year!

Cubs Activities in May 2011
In May the Cub Pack did some work on the Jungle Book which is the book that the Cub section is based on. They watched the movie to get an understanding and to learn the names of the characters in the book. They also read some yarns about the Jungle book and played some games.
The Cubs then completed a new display on the Cub board inside the hall. A big tree with paints that they did with their hands and a big snake ‘Kaa’ which is one of the characters out of the Jungle book.
Fund Raising 2011
Fund Raising to enable us to undertake fun activities for out groups is always important. Here is some of our hard working team at our annual Bunnings BBQ which gave us a hansom dividend:
The Scouts also conducted washing of cars windows and raised some money specifically for their group to spend on equipment.
